IAB REPORT: WEB RADIO AD REVENUE UP 21% OVER LAST YEAR

Web radio ad revenue

A report from the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) states that online radio advertising in Q1 of 2011 was up 21% from Q1 2010. The report also shows that Internet radio users are more likely to act on advertising, with 18% visiting an advertisers' website (compared to 11% of overall Internet users).

The report cites data from Arbitron, Edison Research, the Radio Advertising Bureau and TargetSpot. You can find more coverage here.

CLEAR CHANNEL TO STREAM HD VIDEO OF iHEARTRADIO CONCERT VIA XBOX LIVE

Clear Channel has partnerediHeartRadio Festival with Microsoft to stream HD video coverage of the iHeartRadio Music Festival (September 23-24) on Xbox LIVE -- the online platform of the Xbox 360 video game system. 

The concert promotes the new Pandora-like iHeartRadio update, which is already available in Beta form (RAIN coverage here). Clear Channel will broadcast the concert live in over 150 markets and will stream it online via its 800 radio station websites.

UK'S RADIOPLAYER GATHERED 6.7m VISITORS IN AUGUST

The UK'sRadioplayer all-in-one web radio platform Radioplayer says it attracted 6.7 million unique visitors in August. MediaWeek has more coverage here.

That's up 17.5% from May 2011, when Radioplayer reported it reached 5.7 million uniques during the month (RAIN coverage here).
